She is currently developing and teaching courses for the International Institute of Building Biology and Ecology She is the primary author of Prescriptions for a Healthy House,1 st- 3 nd edition, New Society Publishers 2008 and contributing author to several other books. Since 1990 she has lectured, taught, consulted and published extensively on the topic of healthy and ecological design. out of Ashland Oregon, specializing in the design of natural buildings according to the principles of Building Biology. In collaboration with Robert, Paula heads her architectural company, EcoNest Architecture Inc. From the system he originally learned in Germany, Robert has developed an innovative and energy-efficient straw clay enclosure system, and a methodology whereby he can lead students with a wide range of skill levels working together as a team and obtaining predictable, efficient and professional results with every building. Since researching natural building in Europe in 1990, he has become a leading proponent of light clay construction in North America. Robert has been building natural homes for the past 35 years in Canada and the United States. Together they have collaborated on a 20 year journey that has manifested in EcoNest natural homes in 17 states and 4 provinces, all built as workshops with students from as far away as Saudi Arabia, The Republic of Georgia, England, Central and South America and Germany.
